to you
and your fight
against Putin sometime back in 2014.

a day in 2014.
You were called Gandhi
and continued your peaceful protests
against Putin's regime
until you were imprisoned
and sentenced to three years
in a show trial.
THE GULAG ARCHIPELAGO
is not a poem
but forced-labor camps
filled with exiled.
You continued your fight
until you left Russia
no more words on signs,
but weapons in your hand
in the Siberian Battalion
of 'Freedom of Russia.'
Evil exists,
it exists in the Kremlin
and must be fought.
Evil bears the Zwastika
and believes in kleptocracy
as the new world order.
Ildar Dadin
you paid the ultimate price
on the fifth of October, twenty twenty-four.
We will always remember your name
and your struggle.
